I am an international student in the second semester of Mechatronics Master and I have a question regarding the mandatory elective (Wahlphlicht) courses. If I enroll at a mandatory elective exam A and I fail it, can I enroll the next semester at another mandatory elective exam B and pass it and fulfill the number of ECTS points required, will I have to take the exam A again?

Can I finish my degree like this, considering the exam A is failed but I have the required number of ECTS points?

This is the ASPO - your regulations: https://www.tuhh.de/t3resources/tuhh/do ... 2014_E.pdf - your relevant paragraph is § 18.

According to § 18 (2) you must repeat the exam in the next semester. If you do not attend you fail. Then you § 18 (5) goes into effect, because once "all opportunities for repeats and supplementary examinations have been exhausted the relevant examination has been conclusively failed". Once that happens your overall grade is a fail as per § 18 (6).
